Because of the handmade nature of our designs, most of the items within our Design Catalog can be customized. origin story is deeply rooted in craft and the artistic process. Prior to launching Egg Collective in 2012, the company’s three co-founders rented a single workbench in a shared woodshop and began building their first collection of designs. Though the company and its production capabilities have grown vastly since then, many of those original designs are still available and are still made by hand in New York City.
Egg Collective currently operates two locations in New York City: a gallery in Manhattan and a work shop just over the bridge in Brooklyn. At the company’s workshop in the historic Brooklyn Navy Yard, highly skilled craftspeople fulfill the company’s mission of creating heirloom quality furniture. These pieces are displayed at the company’s gallery in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood, where Egg Collective also showcases studio-created works alongside one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces by emerging and mid-career contemporary artists and designers.
