Egg Collective curates group shows, and represents a small selection of emerging and mid-career contemporary artists and designers with the intention of creating a dialogue between the applied arts and the fine arts.

Kieran Kinsella

Kieran Kinsella is a sculptor/furniture maker based in New York state’s Hudson Valley who was self taught in wood working by means of apprenticeships with Adirondack boat builders, timber framers and furniture makers. Inspired by animism, he uses traditional carving methods to explore and find new shapes hidden in the tree trunks. Since 2009 he has devoted himself to carving “stump” tables from locally sourced and salvaged whole logs, producing work both sculptural and functional. His work has been featured in such magazines as Upstate Diary, The World of Interiors, Wallpaper, Elle Décor, Elle Décor Italia, Luxe Magazine, Design Sponge and the Wall Street Journal.
